Retaining soil to create a level, usable area is a great way to add equity to your property and create a comfortable living area.
Methods and materials for retaining walls are diverse and these factors are dictated by the function the wall is to serve. Walls that are above 600mm or to be built under 900mm from a boundary are subject to council approval and will also have to have plans provided from a structural engineer.
A good option for hill sides is terracing. We have experience in utilising steep blocks and have achieved some excellent results.
The steep blocks are avoided by a lot of contractors because of the difficulties in working on slopes but we have proven to gain results turning an unusable space into another entertaining area or pleasant garden outlook.
